Anybody tell me what the reasoning behind making all the pictures within the forum except avatars automatically clickable.
Is there an option in 5.6 and above to switch this off within signatures, so as to allow hyperlinked images?

Currently S.E. v.5.6
I have noticed that it does it here also and this is the latest version
When it comes to forums i've normally used vBulletin so this version is a bit different

Please understand and we truly respect and appreciate your site using TS SE source and we support any version of TS SE released but only give support to non vip members for v1.3.9 and below. Any version TS SE v2.5 and above we ask the owner to ask these type of questions or to at least verify that you are a staff from his or her site and that the VIP owner is wanting to know.

Thank for having the decency to explain
I am Staff on a site and asked the question
but the Owner and Site Coder just say its standard
I thought I would come on here and ask you guys
and noticed that it was the same in this forum
Just means that what I want to do I can't
So thanks for your time

no problem, remember we do not mind answering your questions all we ask is the site owner or coder verify that you are his staff asking.

Take care and thank you again for your support

Looking at the cost of the software maybe a good idea, just to buy a copy and learn about it for myself

the pictures are clickable because they are resized. If you set your picture height and width in forum management to 150x150 and I upload a picture 500x500 the picture is resized to keep the forum code in tact.

To remove the code, im not for sure but will look in three places that might be a factor to help with this.

At least it should be removed in the signature section.
This is the only forum I know of that is coded this way.

Not really personal preference when the site owner/admin don't have any choice.
All I am saying is out of the hundreds of forums out there, TS seems the only one that permanently locks out this function as opposed to letting the site owner make the choice
