Site dies when using PeerGuardian database
Hi! After I import the PG database with ips using importpg.php, the site gets soooooo slow you can hardly believe it..

Does the ip-checking slow down the site that much? It worked fine with my old source (DR's)..

Thanks!

bans is checked on every request.... so unless u add the proper indxes in that table, its bould to slow ur site a lot ;-)... if ur using the newest mysql, u can index on descending tables so u ll need to index first and last fields and that should improve speed a lot.. alternevely drop the php bans system and do it from iptables.. i ve poseted a script in ***** that does that... all u need to do is make a list of ip's u wanna ban and the rest is done by the script (it does require knowlege of iptables to setit up though + its only for unix based systems)
