Your trying to be a scene 0day tracker yet you sound more like a crappy public tracker with that rule m8, I wouldnt go down that rute. It will also stop people wanting to outside see on your site and will also stop those people with web-seedbox's having a decent speed or file integrity with most FTP clients.

release groups release all there stuff in rar format i have 2 sites 1 with over 35k members and over 100k peers the other site is basically new with 15.000 members and over 20k peers and all the files on my sites are more or less rar files and this does not stop members joining and using my site

The OP said "UNrared" meaning he wants all his releases not in rar format which is my point. I know groups release in rar format ive been around the scene for about 7 years now and are a uploader one the largest private site on net with 200k users.

My point is that if you have all your releases UNrarred it can mean...

a) The people who would like to "outside seed" something they already have then they would need to unrar it and possibly have two because they may be seeding elsewhere also.

b) Having large files is bad for file integrity when transferring over FTP protocol and if some of your users have a web-based box with no root access they may have a hard time getting the large files because of speed or corruption in rare cases. (This is the reason main reason for split archiving for FTP transfers)

c) If you want to run a respectable 0day scene tracker then you should leave the releases untcouched with SFV file so that the end user know they are getting it untouched and unaltered.

If you want to run a respectable private 0day scene inspired tracker then UNrarring your files is a bad idea for multiple reasons.

also what site have you been uploading on?? piratebay is probs the largest torrent site on the net doesnt mean its any good

I think there has been some crossed wires here. My first comment was quoting a rule on the site mentioned here. I then went onto say why it was bad, ie teh rule.

btw the pirategay may be largest in world but its a ****ty public site which I never use unless looking for a really old rare movie maybe.

Also SCC is NOT the best site on teh net, it may have some good pre times but that doesn't make it the "best", What makes a site the best in my opinoin is community and archive and TL tops ALL private trackers and also has 200k userbase.

I was meerly giving some feedback since you said youwanted to be a 0day tracker with autobot etc, it makes sense so have all scene releases left as they are otherwise you will end up with a mess like demonoid and pirategay etc.

Btw the site looks really nice keep it up
